Kennedy, Gail:  Appointed to make an historical study of the origin and development of pragmatic philosophies in Europe and America, abroad; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1929.

Born September 17, 1900, at Cadott, Wisconsin. Education: University of Minnesota, A. B., 1922; Columbia University, M. A., 1923, Ph. D., 1928 (University Fellowship in Philosophy, 1923–24).

Lecturer in Philosophy, 1924–25, Columbia University; Assistant Director, 1925–26, The New School of Social Research; Instructor in Philosophy, 1926—, Amherst College.

Publications: “The Psychological Empiricism of John Stuart Mill,” 1928.
