Born April 27, 1906,  at Coweta, Indian Territory. Education:  University of Tulsa, 1923–24; Oklahoma A. & M. College, 1925; University of Oklahoma, 1928–30.

Publications:  Oklahoma Town, 1931; Die Stadt Oklahoma, 1932; No More Trumpets, 1933. Short stories and articles in American Mercury, Vanity Fair, Southwest Review, New Yorker, Scribner’s Magazine, Harper’s Magazine, Story, Esquire, American Speech, Collier’s, Saturday Evening Post, Nation, New Republic, Sooner Magazine, Household Magazine.  Contributor to Folk-Say and Best Short Stories.
