Born December 26, 1907, at Winnipeg, Canada.  Education:  University of Manitoba, B.A., 1926; University of Toronto, M.A., 1927; University of Chicago, Ph.D., 1929. National Research Council Fellow, California Institute of Technology and University of Chicago, 1929–31.

Lecturer in Mathematics, 1931–34, Assistant Professor, 1934—, McGill University.
