NUTE, GRACE LEE:  Appointed for the writing of a joint biography of Pierre Esprit Radisson and Médard Chouart, Sieur des Groseilliers, two leaders in French exploration of inland North America and of the Hudson Bay area in the 17^th century, abroad; tenure, twelve months from August 10, 1934.

Born October 13, 1895, at North Conway, New Hampshire. Education: Smith College, A.B., 1917; Radcliffe College, A.M., 1918, Ph.D., 1921.
