STUNKARD, HORACE WESLEY: Appointed for research on the life history of certain parasitic worms, being an attempt to discover the manner in which they are acquired by their hosts; in certain European laboratories; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1931.

Born August 23, 1889, at Monmouth, Iowa.  Education:  Coe College, B.S., 1912; University of Illinois, A.M., 1914, Ph.D., 1916.

Assistant in Zoology, 1912–14, Fellow in Zoology, 1914–16, University of Illinois; Instructor in Biology, 1916–19, Assistant Professor, 1919–22, Associate Professor, 1922–25, Professor and Head of Department, 1925—, New York University. Research Associate, American Museum of Natural History, 1921—. A. Cressy Morrison Prize of the New York Academy of Sciences, 1929.
