SIMPSON, LESLEY BYRD:  Appointed to make a study of Spanish-Indian relations during the colonial period, in Mexico; tenure, twelve months from June 15, 1931.

Born March 21, 1891, at Saint Louis, Missouri. Education:  University of California, A.B., 1921, Ph.D., 1928.

Instructor in French and Spanish, San Diego State Teachers College, 1921–22; Associate in French and Spanish, University of California at Los Angeles, 1923–24; Associate in Spanish, 1924–28, Instructor, 1928–30, Assistant Professor, 1930—, University of California.
