DRISCOLL, LUCY:  Appointed for the collection of materials in China for completion of a book on Chinese theory of art as applied to painting and calligraphy; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1937.

Born January 20, 1886, at Chicago, Illinois.  Education:  University of Chicago, A.B., 1908, A.M., 1909. Studies in Europe and the Orient.

Assistant to the Director, 1909–16, Art Institute of Chicago; Instructor in History of Art, 1913–25, Assistant Professor of Art, 1925—, University of Chicago.  Fellow of Harvard-Yenching Institute, 1931.

Publication:  Chinese Calligraphy (with Kenji Toda), 1935.
