WEATHERWAX, PAUL.  Appointed for a study of the maize plant, past and present, in the highlands of Peru and Bolivia, with collateral work on the accompanying grass flora; tenure, twelve months from September 15, 1944.

Born April 4, 1888, Worthington, Indiana.  Education:  Wabash College, 1909; DePauw University, 1910; Indiana University, A.B., 1914, A.M., 1915, Ph.D., 1918.

Instructor in Botany, 1915–19, Associate Professor, 1921–35, Professor, 1935—, Indiana University; Associate Professor of Botany, 1919–21, University of Georgia; Visiting Professor, University of Iowa, Summer, 1936.
