WEISS, PAUL:  Appointed for a study of the foundations of ethics in the light of modern logic and metaphysics; tenure, twelve months from June 1, 1937.

Born May 19, 1901, in New York City.  Education: College of the City of New York, B.S., 1927; Harvard University, M.A., 1928, Ph.D., 1929 (Sears Fellow, 1928–30). Universities of Freiburg and the Sorbonne, 1929–30.

Instructor and Tutor, 1930–31, Harvard University and Radcliffe College; Associate, 1931–33, Associate Professor, 1933—, Bryn Mawr College.

Publications:  Articles in Dictionary of American Biography, Mind, Monist, Erkenntnis, Philosophical Review, Journal of Philosophy. Editor (with Charles Hartshorne) of Collected Papers of Charles Sanders Peirce (6 volumes), 1931–5.  Contributor to Seventh International Congress of Philosophy, 1930; American Philosophy Today and Tomorrow, 1935; Philosophical Essays for A.
