Peggy Bacon

BACON, PEGGY: Appointed for creative work in the graphic arts, in the United States; tenure, Summer of 1934.

Born May 2, 1895, at Ridgefield, Connecticut. Education: New York School of Fine and Applied Arts, 1914–15; Art Students League, 1915–20.

Exhibited in New York, Cincinnati, Davenport, Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, Chicago, and Los Angeles. Represented in the permanent collections of the Metropolitan Museum, Brooklyn Museum, New York Public Library, Cleveland Museum, Whitney Museum of American Art. Awarded bronze medal, Sesquicentennial Exposition, Philadelphia.
