MUNZ, PHILIP ALEXANDER:  Appointed for the collection of material for a taxonomic and cytological study of plants of the genus Oenothera which may be illustrative of the process of evolution in plant forms; tenure, nine months from September 1, 1938.

Born April 1, 1892, at Saratoga, Wyoming. Education:  University of Denver, A.B., 1913, A.M., 1914; Cornell University, Ph.D., 1917.

Assistant Professor of Botany, 1917–22, Associate Professor, 1922–27, Professor, 1927—, Pomona College.
