Born November 17, 1915, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Education:  Kansas City Art Institute, 1938–40.

Exhibited at National Academy, Metropolitan Museum, Pennell Exhibition, Hackley Art Gallery (Muskegon), Corcoran Gallery, Carnegie Institute, Detroit Institute of Arts, California State Library, Hudson River Museum (Yonkers, New York), Oakland Art Gallery, San Francisco Museum, Laguna Beach Art Association, Mint Museum (Charlotte, North Carolina), Seattle Art Museum, Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts (Hartford), Denison University, St. Louis Public Library. Awarded Kate W. Arms Award, Society of American Etchers, 1942, 1943; Hal H. Commissioned by the Council of the Connecticut Academy of Fine Arts to etch the 1944 Presentation Plate.
