BRANDT, RICHARD BOOKER.  Appointed for studies in the field of moral philosophy, in particular an investigation of principles governing ethical approval and disapproval; tenure, twelve months from August 1, 1945.

Born October 17, 1910, Wilmington, Ohio.  Education:  Denison University, B.A., 1930; Cambridge University, B.A., 1933; University of Tübingen, 1934–35; Yale University, Ph.D., 1936.

Instructor in Philosophy, 1937–41, Assistant Professor, 1941—, Swarthmore College.
