Beth Nguyen

Beth Nguyen is the author of the memoir Owner of a Lonely Heart (Scribner), the memoir Stealing Buddha’s Dinner (Viking), and the novels Short Girls (Viking) and Pioneer Girl (Viking). Her work has appeared in publications including The New Yorker, The Paris Review, and Best American Essays. She is a professor at the University of Wisconsin–Madison and directs the MFA Program in Creative Writing.
