LEVI, DORO:  Appointed for studies of the mosaics of Antioch-on-the-Orontes; tenure, twelve months from May 1, 1941.

Born June 1, 1898, in Italy.  Education:  University of Florence, Ph.D., 1920; Fellow of the Italian Archaeological School at Athens, 1922–23.

Inspector and Director, 1926–35, Archaeological Museum, Florence; Organizer and Member, 1930-–33, Italian Archaeological Mission to Mesopotamia; Member of the staff in Archaeology, 1933, University of Florence; Professor of Archaeology, 1935–38, University of Cagliari; Superintendent and Director of Art and Antiquities of Sardinia, 1935–38, Museums of Sassari and Cagliari; Member, 1939, Institute for Advanced Study; Member of the Antioch Expedition, 1940—, Princeton University. Lecturer, 1940–41, Princeton University, Harvard University, Radcliffe College.
