STERNBERG, HARRY:  Appointed for creative work in etching and lithography; tenure, six months from May 15, 1936.

Born July 19, 1904, in New York City. Education:  Brooklyn Museum School, 1916–18; Art Alliance and Art Students League, 1918–27. Studied with Harry Wickey.

Instructor, 1933—, Art Students League.

Exhibited with Society of American Etchers, Philadelphia Society of Etchers, Philadelphia Art Alliance, Brooklyn Society of Etchers, Los Angeles Art Association, Chicago Printmakers, Fine Prints of the Year, American Printmakers, Fifty Prints of the Year, Fifty Modern Prints, American Artists’ Congress, Federal Art Project in New York City. Represented in the permanent collections of the New York Public Library, Whitney Museum of American Art, Newark Public Library, Cleveland Museum, Addison Museum, Brooklyn Museum, Victoria and Albert Museum, Bibliothèque Nationale.
