SVENSON, HENRY K.:  Appointed for an investigation of the relationship of the flora of western South American to that of the Galapagos Islands; tenure, three months from the Autumn of 1940.

Born January 13, 1897, in Sweden. Education:  Harvard University, A.B., 1920, A.M., 1922, Ph.D., 1928.

Instructor in Biology, 1922–24, Assistant Professor, 1925–27, Union College, Schenectady; Curator of the Herbarium, 1930—, Brooklyn Botanic Garden.
