ROSS, MARVIN CHAUNCEY:  Appointed for the preparation of a corpus of all known Byzantine enamels, including a catalogue and an introduction giving the history and classification of Byzantine enamels; tenure, six months from July 1, 1938.

Born November 21, 1904, at Moriches, New York.  Education:  University of Berlin, Summer, 1927; Harvard University, A.B., 1928, A.M., 1930 (Carnegie Fellow, 1927–28); Centro de Estudios Históricos, Madrid, 1930; New York University, 1933–34, 1937.

Instructor in Fine Arts, 1928–29, University of Pittsburgh; Assistant, 1934, Brooklyn Museum; Research Assistant, 1934–36, Associate Curator, 1937—, Walters Art Gallery.
