Sam Contis

Sam Contis (born 1982) works with photography and moving image. Her work has been exhibited widely in the U.S. and internationally, including at the Barbican Art Gallery, London; Carré d’Art, Nîmes; the Gropius-Bau, Berlin; the Carnegie Museum of Art, Pittsburgh; and the Museum of Modern Art, New York. She has published two books, Deep Springs (2017) and Day Sleeper (2020). Her third book, Overpass, will be published in 2022.
