Simon Freed

Freed, Simon:  Appointed for researches on the magnetic and spectroscopic properties of atoms and molecules in the crystalline state, at Leiden, Munich, and Rome; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1930.

Born November 11, 1898, at Lodz, Poland.  Education: Massachusetts Institute of Technology, S.B., 1920; University of Paris, 1920–21; University of California, Ph.D., 1927.

Teaching Fellow in Chemistry, 1925–27, Instructor in Chemistry, 1927–28, Research Associate in Chemistry, 1929–30, University of California.

Publications: Articles in the Journal of the American Chemical Society, The Physical Review, Nature.
