Thomas H. Goodspeed

Goodspeed, Thomas Harper:   Appointed for the completion of a monographic treatment of the genus Nicotiana in foreign laboratories and herbaria; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1930.

Born May 17, 1887, at Springfield, Massachusetts. Education: Brown University, A.B., 1909; University of California, Ph.D., 1912. Fellow of the American-Scandinavian Foundation, 1922–23, at the University of Stockholm.

Instructor in Botany, 1912–16, Assistant Professor, 1916–20, Associate Professor, 1920–28, Professor and Curator of the Botanical Garden, 1928—, University of California.
