Born October 19, 1910, at Greenville, Texas. Education:  Southern Methodist University, B.S., 1931; Rice Institute, M.A., 1932, Ph.D., 1934.  National Research Council Fellow in Physics, California Institute of Technology.

Teaching Fellow, 1931–34, Instructor in Physics, 1936—, Rice Institute.
