Tommy White received a B.F.A. from the Hartford Art School in 1992 and an M.F.A. from the Massachusetts College of Art in 1996.  He has taught at the Montserrat College of Art, The Massachusetts College of Art, Columbia University, and the Burren College of Art in County Clare, Ireland.

Mr. White’s solo shows include a 2004 exhibit at The Wrong Gallery and exhibits in 2005 and early 2009 at the Harris-Lieberman Gallery, which is his representative in New York.  His work was included in The Triumph of Painting exhibition (with catalog) at the Saatchi Gallery in London in 2007. In the past ten years, his work has also been included in many group eshibitions both in Europe and the United States.  He is also the recipient of both the Graduate Award from the Massachusetts College of Art and the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation Award.  His work has been reviewed in such noted publications as the New York Times, the Boston Globe, New York Magazine, Art Review, and Art & Auction.
