Loomis, Francis Wheeler: Appointed for a study of the new quantum mechanics, especially in relation to problems in band spectra, principally with Professor J. Franck at Göttingen, Germany, and Professor E. Schrödinger at Berlin, Germany; tenure, twelve months from June 1, 1928.
