STRAUS, WILLIAM LOUIS, JR.: Appointed for a study of the embryological development of muscle function with particular reference to the anatomical changes which occur in the peripheral neuromuscular apparatus from physiological immaturity to physiological maturity; tenure, twelve months from August 18, 1937.

Born October 29, 1900, at Baltimore, Maryland. EDUCATION: Harvard University, 1917–18; Johns Hopkins University, A.B., 1920, Ph.D., 1926. National Research Council Fellow, 1926–27.
