William V. Cone

Cone, William V.: Appointed for a study of the reactions of the interstitial cells of the central nervous system; study of neuropathology, neurology and neurosurgery, principally with Dr. Gordon Holmes at the National Hospital for the Paralysed and Epileptic in London, Professor Otfrid Foerster of the University of Breslau, and Professor Alfons Jakob of the University of Hamburg; tenure, six months from March 15, 1928.

Born May 7, 1897, at Conesville, Iowa. Education: State University of Iowa, B.S., 1920, M.D., 1922; National Research Council Fellow in Medicine, State University of Iowa, 1922–24, and Columbia University, 1924–26.

Instructor in Neuropathology, 1922–24, State University of Iowa; Instructor in Surgery, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University, 1926–28; Assistant Attending Surgeon, Presbyterian Hospital, New York City, 1926–28.
