Edwin Blake Payson

Payson, Edwin Blake: Appointed to continue evolutionary and taxonomic studies of flowering plants of the families Cruciferae and Ranunculaceae with special emphasis on the question of generic phylogenies; the genera Draba and Aquilegia are to be studied in detail, mainly at Kew Gardens, London, in consultation with Mr. J. Hutchinson; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1927.

Born February 18, 1893, at Norwood, Colorado. Education: University of Wyoming, B.A., 1917; Teaching Fellow, Henry Shaw School of Botany, Washington University, 1917, 1919–21, M.A., 1920, Ph.D., 1921.
