Born November 21, 1907, at Chicago, Illinois. Education: Art Institute of Chicago, 1926–28; Art Students League, New York, 1929–30, 1931–32.
One-man exhibition, Art Institute of Chicago, 1935. Awarded the Clyde M. Carr Prize, Annual Exhibition of Artists of Chicago, Art Institute of Chicago, 1933; awarded the Joseph N. Eisendrath Prize in the same exhibition, 1934; awarded the William H. Tuthill Prize, 13th Annual International Water Color Exhibition, Chicago, 1934; awarded the Watson F. Blair Prize in the same exhibition, 1935; awarded the Chicago Artists’ Prize, 46th Annual Exhibition of the American Painting and Sculpture, Chicago, 1935. Represented in the permanent collections of the Whitney Museum of American Art and the Art Institute of Chicago. Received Federal Government Commission for mural in post office at Vandalia, Illinois, 1935.
