DEHN, ADOLF ARTHUR:  Appointed for creative work in painting; tenure, twelve months from July 15, 1939.

Born November 22, 1895, at Waterville, Minnesota.  Education:  Minneapolis Art School, 1914–17; Art Students League, 1917–18.

One-man show, William Rockhill Nelson Gallery, Kansas City, 1938.  Exhibited at Whitney Museum of American Art, Art Institute of Chicago, Philadelphia Art Alliance, Fifty Prints of the Year, College Art Association, Minneapolis Institute of Arts, Brooklyn Museum, New York Public Library, Toledo Museum of Art, Rochester Memorial Art Gallery, Boston Museum, New York World’s Fair.  Awarded honorable mention, Philadelphia Art Alliance, 1933; First Prize, 1934.
