Free-lance reporter for Frankfurter Illustrierte, UHU Magazine, Berliner Illustrierte, Strasburger Illustrierte, Le Nazionale de Fiorenze, London Times, and others, 1925–28; major contributor to Vu, 1928—, Art et Médecine, 1930–36; moved to America, 1936, naturalized, 1944; free-lance photographer for Harper’s Bazaar, Vogue, Town and Country, American Magazine, Collier’s, Coronet, Look, 1937–49; under exclusive contract with Condé-Nast Publications, 1949–62.
