Andrea Cohen grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and has written poems, she says, “for as long as I can remember. I used to walk with my dog through the woods, making up little songs. It was what I loved to do––and my days haven’t changed too much since then.” Of her work, The New York Times has said: “This is acutely literary writing that wears its literariness lightly enough for long journeys to unfamiliar places.” Cohen is the author of seven poetry collections, including, most recently, Everything, Nightshade, and Unfathoming. Her poems have appeared in The New Yorker, The Threepenny Review, The Atlantic Monthly, and elsewhere. She has received several fellowships to MacDowell and directs The Blacksmith Poetry Series in Cambridge, Mass.
