SERRA BADUÉ, DANIEL:  Appointed for creative work in the fine arts, in the United States; tenure, twelve months from August 16, 1938.

Born September 8, 1914, at Santiago, Cuba. Education:  School of Law of the University of Barcelona (Spain), Graduate in Law and Economic and Social Sciences, 1936; University of Havana, Doctor of Law, 1938. Art studies at the Artistic Circle, Barcelona, and Academy of Fine Arts of St. George, Barcelona, 1932–36.

First prize in the John Wanamaker Annual Drawing Competition, New York, 1927–28. Exhibited in Exposición de Primavera, Barcelona, 1933, 1935, 1936; Salón de Artistas Universitarios, Barcelona, 1935, 1936; Exposición Nacional de Pintura y Escultura, Madrid, 1936.
