CULBERTSON, JAMES THOMAS:  Appointed for studies of humoral and cellular immunological phenomena in the mechanism underlying the immunity against parasitic diseases, particularly the protozoan and helminthic infestations of man, chiefly at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine; tenure, six months from April 1, 1936.

Born May 24, 1904, at Dayton, Kentucky. Education: Kenyon college, 1922–24; College of William and Mary, B.S., 1926; Cornell University, M.A., 1930; Columbia University, Ph.D., 1933.

Instructor in Bacteriology and Parasitology, 1930–31, New York Homeopathic Medical College; Instructor in Bacteriology, 1931—, College of Physicians and Surgeons, Columbia University.
