Born November 23, 1903, at Lima, Peru.  Education:  University of San Marcos, Ph.D., 1930; Friedrich Wilhelm University, Berlin, 1936.

Professor of Peruvian Art, 1931–32, Assistant Head of the Department of Construction, 1932–34, Professor of Aesthetics and History of Art, 1934—, National School of Arts and Crafts; Member of the Staff, 1934—, National Museum of Archaeology, Lima.
