Katja Guenther is a Professor of the History of Science at Princeton University. She is an M.D. with a research degree in Neuroscience who gained a Ph.D. in the History of Science in 2009. Her books include Localization and Its Discontents (Chicago, 2015), and The Mirror and the Mind: A History of Self-Recognition in the Human Sciences (Princeton, 2022). During her tenure as a Guggenheim Fellow, she will be working on a new book on the history of therapeutic listening, with the tentative title: Being Heard. Her work has been supported by the American Council of Learned Societies (ACLS), and the Institute for Advanced Study (IAS) in Princeton.
