SANFORD, MARION:  Appointed for creative work in sculpture; tenure, twelve months from April 1, 1941.

Born February 9, 1904, Guelph, Canada. Education:  Art studies at Pratt Institute, Art Students League, and with Brenda Putnam.

Exhibitions:  Exhibited at National Academy of Design, National Sculpture Society, Whitney Museum of American Art, New York World’s Fair, Newport Art Association, Architectural League of New York, National Association of Women Painters and Sculptors. Wood carvings executed for Trinity Church, Warren, Pennsylvania; bas-relief executed for Winder, Georgia, Post Office.
