MYERS, EARL HAMLET:  Appointed for studies of the life cycles of Foraminifera, with special reference to the rôle of these organisms in the sea and their significance in geological formations; tenure, twelve months from June 24, 1938.

Born October 16, 1897, at Joliet, Illinois. Education:  Washington State College, B.S., 1921; University of California, Ph.D., 1934.

Technical Assistant in Zoology, 1926–30, University of California; Research Assistant, 1930–34, Research Associate, 1934–35, Scripps Institution of Oceanography; Instructor in Zoology, 1935—, Compton Junior College.
