HIRSCHHORN, ELISA. Appointed for studies of the biology of the smut fungi; tenure, twelve months from October 12, 1944.

Born July 12, 1910, Province of Entre Rios, Argentina.  Education:  National University of La Plata, Professor of Biological Science, 1929, Doctor in Natural Sciences, 1938.

Professor of Physics, 1931, National Normal School of La Plata; Professor of Botany and Zoology, 1935–36, Professor of practical work, School of Natural Sciences, 1942–43, Assistant in the Spegazzini Institute, 1935–43, National University of La Plata.
