JENKINS, FRANCIS ARTHUR:  Appointed for studies in the measurement and interpretation of intensities in band spectra, chiefly in the Physical Laboratory of the University of Utrecht; tenure, six months from July 15, 1932.

Born June 2, 1899, at Nashville, Tennessee. Education: Swarthmore College, 1916–18; University of Chicago, B.S., 1921, Ph.D., 1925; University of Toulouse, 1921–22. National Research Fellow, University of Chicago and Harvard University, 1925–27.

Assistant Professor of Physics, 1927–29, New York University; Assistant Professor of Physics, 1929–31, Associate Professor, 1931—, University of California.
