Born October 1, 1903, at Huaraz, Peru.  Education:  University of San Marcos, 1928–31.

Professor of Geography and French, 1923–24, College of San Francisco de Sales, Huaraz; Assistant Professor in the Department of the Quechuan Indian, 1925–31, Inmates School, Central Penitentiary of Lima; Director, 1931, Reform School for Minors, Lima; Translator in the School of Economics and Finance, 1928–30, University of San Marcos; member of the Staff, 1935, National Museum of Archaeology, Lima; Curator, 1936–38, Archaeological Museum of Ancash, Huaraz.
