Librarian, 1933—40, Hindman Settlement.

Publications:  Hounds of the Mountain, 1937; River of Earth, 1940. Articles in Atlantic Monthly, American Mercury, Yale Review, Story, Virginia Quarterly Review, Saturday Evening Post, Frontier and Midland, Prairie Schooner.
