POLLET, JOSEPH:  Appointed for creative work in painting, abroad; tenure, twelve months from April 1, 1931.

Born October 17, 1897, in Switzerland. Education:  Art Students League, 1920–22.

Director, 1922–24, Art Students League; Director, 1924–30, Society of Independent Artists.

Exhibitions: Whitney Studio Club, The Downtown Gallery, The Whitney Studio Gallery. Exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy, the Art Institute of Chicago, The Carnegie International Exhibition, St. Louis Museum, Cleveland Museum, Toledo Museums, Venice International Exhibition. Received Honorable Mention, Carnegie, 1929. Represented in permanent collections of Newark Museum, Los Angeles Museum, New York University Gallery of Living Art, Phillips Memorial Gallery, Whitney Museum of American Art.
