Taylor, Nelson Woodsworth:  Appointed to investigate the chemical factors governing the deposition of ore minerals from hot aqueous solutions at high pressures, with special reference to the problem of the Zonal Series, chiefly at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institut für Silikatforschung in Berlin, Germany; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1929.

Born April 26, 1899, at Pincher Creek, Alberta, Canada. Education: University of Saskatchewan, B. Sc., 1918; University of California, Ph. D., 1923.

Lecturer in Mathematics, 1919, University of Saskatchewan; Teaching Fellow in Chemistry, 1920–23, Instructor in Chemistry, 1923–25, University of California; Assistant Professor of Physical Chemistry, 1925—, University of Minnesota; Technical expert, Summers 1926 and 1927, Department of Public Health, Cleveland, Ohio; Research Fellow, Summer 1928, Mayo Foundation, Rochester, Minnesota.
