Duffendack, Ora Stanley: Appointed to make a study of impacts of the second kind of gases, especially in relation to problems in molecular structure and the chemical binding of the constituent atoms; study to be made principally with Professor J. Franck at Göttingen, Germany; tenure, twelve months from September 1, 1929.
Born May 7, 1890, at Napoleon, Missouri. Education: University of Chicago, B. S., 1919; Princeton University, A. M., 1921, Ph. D., 1922 (Class of 1863 Fellow in Experimental Science, 1920–22).
Professor of Physics, Henry Kendall College (The University of Tulsa), 1917–20; Instructor in Physics, 1922–24, Assistant Professor, 1924—, University of Michigan.
