KRAMER, SAMUEL NOAH:  Appointed for studies in the field of the history of Sumerian culture, to be based on tablets from approximately 2000 B.C. excavated at Nippur, Iraq; tenure, twelve months from July 1, 1937.

Born September 28, 1897, in Russia.  Education:  Temple University, B.S., 1921; University of Pennsylvania, Ph.D., 1929. American Council of Learned Societies Fellow, 1929–30.
