Benét, Stephen Vincent: Appointed to do creative writing in poetry and prose, following certain historical investigations in France and Spain; tenure, twelve months from July 15, 1926.

Born July 22, 1898, at Bethlehem, Pennsylvania. Education: Yale University, B.A., 1919, M.A., 1920; Scott-Hurtt Fellow, Yale University Graduate School, 1920-21 (European study and travel).

Poet and novelist.
