Suzanne Opton’s work has been exhibited worldwide, and is included in the permanent collections of the Austin Museum; Biblioteque Nationale; Brooklyn Museum; Cleveland Museum; Chrylser Museum; Library of Congress; Michener Museum; Musee de l’Eysee, Lausanne; Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; and the Portland Art Museum. Ms. Opton has been the recipient of grants from the Cummings Foundation, CrossCurrents Foundation, Fledgling Fund, National Endowment for the Arts, New York Foundation for the Arts, and Vermont Council on the Arts. She has been a resident at Light Work and the MacDowell Colony. Her recent Soldier billboards were presented in six states in 2008. Suzanne Opton teaches portraiture at the International Center of Photography .
