Mason Bates

 A composer residing in the San Francisco Bay area, Mason Bates received a Master’s degree in music composition from the Juilliard School in New York City.  When he was only twenty years old, Mr. Bates was appointed as a Margaret Lee Crofts Fellow in Composition at the Tanglewood Music Festival; subsequently he has been honored with a Charles Ives Fellowship
