Jeff McMahan is Professor of Philosophy at Rutgers University. He studied English literature as an undergraduate at Sewanee, switched to philosophy at Oxford, where he was a Rhodes Scholar, and completed his graduate work at Cambridge, where he was a fellow of St. John’s College. He is the author of The Ethics of Killing: Problems

John Campbell is Willis S. and Marion Slusser Professor of Philosophy at the University of California, Berkeley. Before that he was Wilde Professor of Philosophy at the University of Oxford. He was born in Glasgow, Scotland, and did his undergraduate work at the University of Stirling. He completed an M.A. at the University of Calgary
